AXA Insurance

At the start of 2016, AXA Insurance approached Dawson Hinds Creative Spaces to determine if they could assist in the refurbishment of their call centre in Derry.

Following a number of discussions with key personnel within both teams, AXA Insurance provided a brief, outlining their requirements for the provision of office furniture as well as break out areas, locker rooms and training rooms.  The design team at Dawson Hinds Creative Spaces used this brief to compile technical drawings which incorporated furniture requirements with the available space, bearing in mind Health and Safety Requlations. The drawings also showed the overall look of the space, including colours, textures and signage.

Discussions continued and the brief expanded to include the provision of decoration, kitchen units and appliances and amendments were added to the drawings thereafter to allow AXA Insurance to visualise the effect of the changes in the overall space. Once the drawings were signed off, the project management team at Dawson Hinds Creative Spaces became involved and overseen the ordering, shipping, delivery and installation of furniture as well as managing sub-contractors, who removed glass partitions and stud walls and rebuilt them and painted all new walls to accommodate the new layouts. This was all completed in conjunction with electrical contractors and was carried out, outside of normal working hours to limit disruption to the AXA Insurance call team. The full refurbishment was completed on time, to a very high standard and met AXA Insurance budget allocation for the project.
